We are excited to announce that we have three mission trip options available for PowerSource students in 2018…

Registration for all trips opens at midnight on October 22.  Please check back here at that time in order to register.

Option 1:  Richmond Spring Mission Trip
Date: March 30-31, 2018
Where: Richmond, VA
Cost: $75
Partner Organization: The Well Church (http://www.the-well.church/)
Available to: Current 6th, 7th and 8th graders
Total Capacity: 24 students
Ministry Projects (this is our first year doing this trip, so we’re in the process of building relationships with ministry partners):
+Assist the Well Church with an Easter Egg Hunt and other Easter outreaches.
+Participate in community service projects around the City of Richmond with ministry and non-profit organizations.
+Engage in daily discipleship and team building activities.
Lodging: Guys and Girls will sleep in separate areas of the Family Life Center of Cool Springs Baptist Church
Outing: Sky Zone Trampoline Park

Option 2:  Charlotte Summer Mission Trip
Date:  June 25-June 39, 2018
Where:  Charlotte, NC
Cost:  $200
Partner Organization: First Baptist Charlotte (http://www.charlottefbc.org/)
Available to: Current 6th, 7th and 8th graders
Total Capacity: 30 students
Ministry Projects (see the highlight video below to get a feel for the work our students do):
+Lead a day camp for students and children from underprivileged neighborhoods at First Baptist Charlotte.
+Participate in community service projects around the City of Charlotte with organizations like Samaritan’s Feet, Urban Ministry Center, Beds For Kids, and The Metrolina Baptist Association.
+Engage in daily discipleship and team building activities.
Lodging: Guys and Girls will sleep on separate floors at the Family Life Center of First Baptist Charlotte
Outing: Carowinds Theme Park

Option 3:  Orlando Summer Mission Trip
Date:  July 21-28, 2018
Where:  Orlando, FL
Cost:  $530
Partner Organization: Genesis Church Orlando (http://genesischurchorlando.com/)
Available to: Current 7th and 8th graders
Total Capacity: 36 students
Ministry Projects (see the highlight video below to get a feel for the work our students do):
+Serve as track leaders with Genesis Church’s Sports and Arts Camp, Ignite Kids Week.
+Conduct community service projects around the City of Orlando with organizations like United Against Poverty, Orlando Union Rescue Mission, 2nd Harvest Community Food Bank of Central Florida and Clean The World.
+Engage in daily discipleship and team building activities.
Lodging: Comfort Inn and Suites (rooms sleep 4 students in two double beds and 1 leader on a pull-out couch)
Outing: An Orlando Area Theme Park

Payments:
+A $50 payment is due at registration.
+Subsequent payments can be made via cash, check or credit card and must be submitted no later than June 30, 2018.

Fundraising:

+Students may participate in the Joe Coffee Fundraiser, which will be offered in the Fall of 2017.  Approximately 42% of all sales will go to the student’s account and can be used for this trip.
+Students may also prepare support letters at home and bring them to church addressed in sealed envelopes so that we can mail them for you.
